Penfolds Asia Pacific Scholarship 2025

Scholarship recipient announced at WSET Graduation in London

On Wednesday 30 April, the Penfolds Asia Pacific Scholarship was awarded to Kwok Yuen Lui at the WSET (Wine and Spirit Education Trust) Graduation at Guildhall London.

The scholarship, valued at €3,000, is awarded to the student who achieved the highest score in WSET Level 4 Diploma of Wine and completes the required exams in the APAC region.

Kwok Yuen, originally from Hong Kong, is a Sales Representative at Andrew Peller Limited in North York Canada. With his strong interest in wine driving his career aspirations, Kwok Yuen hopes Canadian wines can flow freely in Canada as there are still some barriers for wines between provinces.

"When customers give me feedback that I help them to make the rights choices, or they can really feel the characteristics of the wine that they tried in tastings."

Understanding the challenges the industry faces with wine consumption; Kwok Yuen aspires to help attract new customers to enjoy wine.

"I hope to let more people experience the beauty of wine. There are a lot of treasures that are waiting for the wine lovers outside Canada to try."
