Scholarship recipient announced at WSET Graduation in London
The Penfolds Asia Pacific Scholarship was awarded to Anthony Justice at the WSET (Wine and Spirit Education Trust) Graduation at London’s Guildhall on Monday 27 April.
The scholarship, valued at €3,000, is awarded to the student who achieved the highest score in WSET Level 4 Diploma of Wine and completes the required exams in the APAC region.
Anthony, who studied at Sydney Wine Academy in Australia, is the Managing Director at consultancy firm 11eight.
Although not from the wine industry, Anthony has always had a passion for wine and found the WSET Diploma provided an opportunity to deepen his knowledge, develop his palate, and connect with a group of people with a common interest.
Anthony aims to transition his career to the wine industry, is now a part time sommelier, and works with other Diploma graduates on a wine import business.
"I'm delighted to have been awarded the Penfolds Asia Pacific Scholarship, which will give me the opportunity to further develop my knowledge of wine."
