Penfolds Evermore receives Social Excellence Award

Evermore Grant Program receives the Social Excellence: Investing in Community and Innovation Award 

Penfolds Evermore, reflecting Penfolds’ values and legacy, received the Social Excellence Award for the Evermore Grant Program at the 2024 Just Drinks Excellence Awards.

Committing A$1 million globally to community and cultural projects over the next five years, the grant program aligns to Penfolds core values and its dedication to enriching communities it serves by supporting bold and innovative projects that actively contribute to the development of thriving communities and culture.

With the aim of creating a lasting impact, the grant program is part of Penfolds Evermore Program and reflects the brands aspiration to leave a lasting, positive impact on the places, communities and people connected to Penfolds.

As Penfolds approaches its 180th anniversary in 2024, the Evermore platform represents an ambition to honour the brand's storied past, while creating a legacy that leaves a positive impact on the future.

Evermore launched the inaugural grant program in Australia in early 2024 and will announce successful recipients in July. The program will expand to France with a grant round launching in early 2025.

 

This award was one of five others received by Treasury Wine Estates (TWE) for the brand’s unwavering commitment to sustainability, strategic business growth, social responsibility, and innovation in the beverages sector. The other awards received by TWE include:

  • Environmental Excellence Award in recognition of TWE’s leadership in sustainable viticulture
  • Business Expansion Award for the acquisition of DAOU Vineyards
  • Innovation Award for TWE’s forward-thinking approach to winemaking, particularly the development of the Pepperjack mid-strength Shiraz
  • Innovation in Drones Award for use of technology for real-time disease monitoring and modelling as part of TWE’s forward approach to implementing electric and autonomous equipment in vineyards.
