Penfolds is a proud partner of the Victoria Racing Club (VRC) and the naming rights sponsor of Victoria Derby Day.

For the second year, we hosted an out of this world marquee in Flemington’s exclusive Birdcage Enclosure.

The Penfolds marquee was transformed into a total eclipse sending guests on a journey of inspiration and discovery. There was fashion, live music, food by Magill Estate Executive Chef Scott Huggins, and tastings of the year’s most anticipated wine, Grange 2018.

The Penfolds Barrel Program

Magill Cellar 3

The winner of the coveted Penfolds Victoria Derby Day also took home a barrel of our esteemed Magill Cellar 3 Shiraz, valued at $160,000 AUD.

A wine only made in exceptional vintages.

The barrel program, introduced in 2015, offers only 18 barrels from the 2019 vintage and is curated by the Penfolds winemaking team, led by Chief Winemaker Peter Gago and Winemaker Matt Woo.
